Overview
Creation of a high volume of in-app educational video content. I developed a visual style for the films and devised a strategy to produce the content within GoHenry’s limited budget and time frame. I sourced and liased with appropriate production partners and made some in-house hires. I managed and directed an in-house pre-production team (scriptwriting, storyboarding and illustration) and directed third party animation teams, VO recording sessions and video shoots. I also worked with GoHenry’s Product Team on design for the mobile app and various comms and marketing.
We partnered with production company Nomint to produce over 100 bite sized (1-2 minutes) “Money Missions” films. The films exist as a spiral curriculum, introducing financial concepts at the right level and reinforcing them with increasing complexity as learners age. Each Money Mission comes with a quiz at the end that confirms students answers or offers contextual feedback when they choose incorrectly. For each completed mission, users earn Experience Points (XP). We aged up the questions and XP distribution format as our learners mature.
We won an EIFLE award for best children's educational program in financial literacy and a Fintech Breakthrough award for best educational platform.

Pre Production
The scripts were developed to meet learning objectives within national curriculum frameworks. We needed to keep full control of the tone, messaging and learning outcomes, so the scriptwriting, storyboarding and illustration were all kept in-house.
Once completed, the scripts, storyboards and style frames were packaged up and sent to Nomint and their animation teams at Post Office Studios.
I was responsible for managing our in-house production team and directing the animation teams at Post Office Studios.
